Thanksgiving Weekend

We had an awesome Thanksgiving weekend. It started out with going to my Aunt Jeri's house for Thanksgiving dinner. It was a lot of fun to see family and friends again, and the turkey was delicious!

The day after that, Sierra went with Grandma, Aunt Jeri, Aunt Jeannine, Aunt Christy, and cousins Kassidi and Paige to go Christmas shopping ... at 3AM! I know that I personally would not want to get up that early! :)

On Saturday, all the families went Christmas Tree Cutting! It was so much fun, and we found the perfect tree! Here are a few pictures from our trip.

Halloween!

Here's a pic from Halloween.

(Left to Right)
Front Row: Ethan (Racecar Driver), Gracie (Witch), Paige (Evil Thing), Faith (Cat)
2nd Row: Tate (Army man), Chase (Racecar Driver)
3rd Row: Jacob (Knight), Slade (Dark Knight)
Top Row: Westin (Football Player), Conner (Clone Trooper)
Sorry, Jade's not in the picture. She was having a little costume issue, long story. Anyways, she was a spider queen. Everyone else in the picture are cousins. Since everyone was down in Maricopa for Shane's funeral, we all decided to go trick-or-treating at our house. All in all, it was a really fun night.

Families Are Forever

On October 25, the oldest grandson of Lavar and Jeannine Skousen, Shane Cory Figueroa, passed away. We are so grateful for the gospel and the knowledge that families are forever. Shane was a great man, and we must always remember that his spirit lives on. Our prayers are with Jeri, Cory, Austin, Bronson, and Kassidi and with his wife, Melisha, and his 3 month old daughter, Kenzlie.

Summer Fun

Sorry everyone, that we haven't been posting in a while. We have been a little busy lately. To catch up a little bit, we've been trying to enjoy the last of the summer before school starts. One of the things we did was go up to Whitehorse Lake to see Curt and Jeannine's family.

We went fishing, where we caught several little bluegills, which we ended up throwing back. Unfortunately, the camera died so we didn't get any photos with the fish, much to Slade's disappointment. We also took the boat out onto the lake, which was pretty fun.

We didn't bring any camping gear, so we stayed at a hotel in Flagstaff. It had an indoor pool, which the kids enjoyed. Overall, it was a fun trip! Sorry, but we didn't upload the photos of our trip yet. WILL DOWNLOAD PICS LATER!

Also, just to let you know, we got our little rat terrier, Cupid, back in our possesion. Everyone is very excited to have him back. Here is a cute little photo of him at our old house. We put him outside and he climbed in between the glass door and the screen door. Isn't he cute?

Well, thanks so much for checking out our blog! We'll try to update some more later!

4th of July

Hey everyone! Happy 4th of July! Boy, did we have a fun 4th! We went over to Curt and Jeannine's for the weekend. We watched fireworks from the backyard, barbecued, drank root beer floats, and enjoyed the smell of rain. It was fun visiting with family and friends. Slade, Jonah, and I actually ended up staying at their house. We're going back to Maricopa tomorrow. I hope you all had as much fun on the 4th of July as we did. Pictures will come later.

A New Blog

Well, I don't know what we're getting into, but we decided to start a new blog. Hopefully through all the craziness, we'll be able to keep you posted on all that's going on with our lives. Thanks for visiting our blog!
